Thai Coins on Mulgrave Road in Cairns is small, the proprietor gives me personal service and the food is always delicious.
It’s casual and relaxed, and doesn’t cost an arm and leg so I can eat there as often as I like.
I think it is one of Cairns’ best-kept secrets.

Choc Dees at Palm Cove is right on the beach.
It has great food and the atmosphere is quiet and relaxing but as I have two small children, we also visit Muddy’s Playground on the Esplanade and have a barbecue. Muddy’s has a cafe where you can get great fish and chips and eat it right on the water’s edge.

I have been going to the Reef House at Palm Cove for many years and have always found the food and the service to be consistently good.
The restaurant has a great location on the Esplanade and to have a table on the deck is so special.
