Festival Cairns (21 Aug To 6 Sept)

Cairns’ annual festival kicks off on 21 August with the Grand Parade along the Esplanade so if you’re staying in one of the Cairns holiday apartments on the Esplanade you’ll be guaranteed a birds eye view of this huge event and the Fireworks.

Cairns is full of life and energy during Festival Cairns and this year there will be lots of free entertainment for the kids. So, if you’re wanting to keep your kids amused whilst you have some quiet holiday moments to yourselves this is a great time to visit.

Other free family events during Festival Cairns include a huge Buskers Festival, Bunnings Kids Day Out (30 Aug) and a Beach Party/Dive In Movie (5 Sept) which will both be at the Lagoon. There will be heaps of other events including the ever-popular ‘Carnival on Collins’ on Father’s Day.
