Laser Tag Battlefields Cairns

Looking for an unusual outdoor game to play while you are holidaying in beautiful Cairns or Trinity Beach? Why not try Laser Tag.

The Laser Tag battlefields are situated just short of the magnificent *Crystal Cascades (drive to the suburb of Redlynch, and follow the signs to Crystal Cascades). Signage for the Cairns Laser Tag battlefield is poor (there’s only two signs) and you need to keep a look out. When you see the second sign, turn right into Cairns Laser Tag (plenty of car parking and even thought the driveway looks rough and ready, it is conventional car safe)

Not overly expensive for an activity ($19.00 per game) I recommend the experience for those looking for a different outdoor activity for big or little people. Games are fully supervised and directed, and last for approximately one and a half hours (drink break in middle). Closed in shoes are a requirement and protective clothing preferable. The games take place in rainforest scrub: there’s plenty of dirt and saplings to stain good clothes!

Laser Tag is suitable for all ages and abilities (not wheel chair accessible though). Adults and children do play together but the kids usually win! There is a little shop on site that sells drinks and snacks so hungry and thirsty kids, Mums and Dads are well catered for.

Accommodation close to the Cairns Laser Tag Battlefield: Any of our Cairns or Trinity Beach accommodation is within driving distance of the battlefield. Unfortunately there is no courtesy bus service for this activity so it is restricted to self drive stays.

Would I play again? Yep, again and again and again. This is a great way to meet locals and to get behind the FNQ tourist scene. Do it like the local’s do and play Laser Tag in the Cairns rainforest.

*Crystal Cascades A beautiful, locals' favourite, spot in the rainforest, the water is COLD. Popular because there are no jelly fish or other big teeth creatures, Crystal Cascades is fresh water, straight from the mountains. There are mini waterfalls, rapids and rocks. To get there: drive to Redlynch and follow the signs another 10 kilometers to Crystal Cascades. The total distance from Cairns CBD is about 20 kilometers. There is a short walk from the car park up to a variety of swimming holes.
