| From wall dives, drift dives to the great shark feed, Coral Sea Diving have managed to put together a trip that encompasses just about everything the Coral Sea has to offer and then some. With an average 30 metre visibility and some amazing fish and coral life the only |
| thing you need to worry about is getting your feet wet and enjoying everything the boat, her crew and the Coral Sea have to offer you.
From the outset you get to choose whether you just lay back and enjoy the ride or grab hold of the ropes and hoist away. The atmosphere on board is very sociable and relaxed allowing for plenty of time to discuss your diving experiences and make new friends.
| The boat is a 59-foot motor sailing schooner which was purpose built to withstand less than ideal weather condidtions, which can come in handy as the prime dive locations lie 60 miles outside the protection of the Great Barrier Reef. The other plus of Coral Sea Divings boat is its ride across the water. If you are the sort of person prone to sea sickness than this boat would be a good choice. |

Coral Sea Dive Co. 4 Day 3 Night Itinerary |
Below you will find a detailed Itinerary for Coral Sea Divings 4 Day 3 Night Dive Trip.
It is important to remember that as with most things it can be subject to change, due to weather, visibility and tides.
Day 1: Cairns to Holmes Reef. Passengers meet at the company office (Shop G6 Trinity Wharf) by 3:00pm for an approximate 4:00pm departure. Passengers are briefed as to the itinerary and safety aspects of the trip and boat, and the dive equipment is organized, making it ready for your morning arrival at Holmes Reef. Dinner is served as you sail through Great Barrier Reef and watch the sun setting over the mountains behind Cairns. Guests can relax, have a few social drinks and get to know each other as the boat makes an overnight passage to the Coral Sea. Passengers are welcome to join in, grab a rline and hoist a sail alongside the crew. In calm clear weather the stars over the Coral Sea are an awesome sight.
Day 2: 4 or 5 dives, including one night dive. Arriving at Holmes Reef a tropical breakfast is served, then the Dive Instructor will brief everyone on general dive safety and details of the first dive site. Diving will be tailored to suit individual experience levels. If anyone is a bit rusty one of the crew will accompany him or her on their first dive if they wish, guided dives can be arranged if required. It is time for some of the best diving in the world; from shallow coral gardens, isolated pinnacles to caverns, caves and spectacular walls, capped off with a fantastic night dive. Evenings are a relaxed affair, with videos or just a chat and a few drinks on deck while at anchor in the calm water of the protected night moorings.
Day 3: 5 dives, including shark feed and one night dive. An invigorating deep dive before a hearty breakfast sees the start to a day of diving & exploring. Today's diving includes swim-throughs, caverns and drift diving the fabulous Abyss, a sheer wall dropping 1000 meters and teeming with life; An ideal adventure for the Advanced diver but still safe and easy for the novice diver.
A relaxing lunch break and a siesta, sometimes at one of the coral sand cays if the tide is right, where you can explore the shallows by snorkeling, or just laze in the sun. The rest is followed by another highlight of the trip, The shark geed; experience the thrill of seeing sharks feeding at Predators Playground, (the shark feed is conducted in a very controlled and safe manner and is in only 9 meters of water). Before departing the Coral Sea for an overnight sail to the Great Barrier Reef, finish the day with the most beautiful night dive you can imagine at Nonki Pinnacle, with loads of soft corals, octopus, sleeping turtles, lots of crustaceans and other amazing night creatures.
Day 4: Return to Cairns. As you sail back into the Barrier Reef you can get up early and watch the sunrise (the early sun on the mountains is gorgeous) or you can just sleep in, until you feel like getting up, having breakfast and laying around while the boat sails back into Cairns. Arrive at Cairns at 1.00 pm. Later in the evening meet with your new friends for a night out in Cairns
