I would like to sincerely thank you for your assistance in ensuring our holiday was absolutely brilliant.

We had a fantastic time and found your help invaluable. We we’re very happy with the assistance you gave us in changing our accommodation so that we could be near the location of the wedding we were attending.

We had friends staying in comparable apartments in Cairns and Palm Cove and they we’re paying over double. We couldn’t believe the standard of the rooms when we walked in compared to the price that you secured for us, especially the apartment in Palm Cove. That was absolutely brilliant!!! Both were very clean, tidy and comfortable. The facilities were fantastic and centrally located, meaning that we could walk everywhere and not need a car.

We went off to Green Island and loved it. We also went walking through the Daintree which was beautiful, snorkelled on the Barrier Reef and went out to Cape Tribulation. We also had some nice time to lie around the pool and relax, which was awesome. James and I had a fantastic time and found it hard to leave FNQ.

Troy, I have already started recommending your services to all my friends and colleagues and will be straight on the phone to you should we head over that way again.

Cairns was fantastic and we enjoyed our trip.

Our accommodation at the Southern Cross was fantastic and we enjoyed being so close to the shops which made it easy to organise dinner etc..

We did the following in Cairns:

Ocean Spirit Cruise
4wd trip to Cape Trib etc
Day trip to Port Douglas
Trip to Kuranda for Skyrail and choo choo train

We organised these through other info places at the last minute because we were unsure of which ones we wanted to do and just stumbled across them. I am guess I am saying that it would have been useful to have your physical address if you have one as we would have popped by and used you. Someone from your office might have called my mobile because I had a missed call from the Cairns region but I was on the reef at the time.

We are planning to go to Broome for our next trip but I think we will return to the Cairns region and stay at Port Douglas or Palm Cove for a week within the next year or 2 and would use your service again.

Just a note to let you know that the holiday you organised for us was absolutely incredible.

As you could probably tell, we had never booked a holiday over the net before, so we kept wondering where & when something would go wrong!!

The apartment was exactly what suited us.

The 3 day trips were excellent value (except I was very sea sick on the snorklelling trip,but everyone else said it was great!).

My pick was Cape Tribulation.

Everything you organised was terrific.No problems for us at all. That made all the difference to our holiday.

Once again, a big thankyou. I may be intouch again next year as we have told our family how good you were and they are keen to go too. They do not have internet access so I'll be doing it for them.

We are just back in Canada after a wonderful month in Australia.

I am very impressed with the services provided by FNQ….everything went without a hitch.

We thoroughly enjoyed all the tours that you booked for us, as well as the accommodation.

A few notes, through, about the apartment.

The accommodation itself was excellent….as well as the Palm Cove location.

However, we were concerned about the lack of a telephone, as well as the lack of any information about the use of the apartment….what to expect, for example upon leaving…..keys? sheets? how to use/not use the reception services? The lack of a phone, through was the major concern……what, for example to do in the case of an emergency???? Also, if an emergency were to happen at home (in Canada), there was no way that anyone could have contacted us.

Perhaps you could pass on this information to the folks who own the apartment.

Thank you for all the arrangements that you made for us…..I will be able to give my friends a high recommendation if they are ever in the region!

The holiday was great and I cant thank you enough for all your assistance.

The SkyRail was awesome and for families the fact that one child goes free is great when you book direct through Skyrail . It ends up being about $40 cheaper.

The Reef Magic trip was great and I cant say enough about the staff on the boat and at the pontoon, they were great and because there were not a great deal of passengers it was even better. The kids loved the snorkelling.

When we went to Green Island we went through Great Adventures (I know you don’t deal with them, but maybe you should consider it , because they have options where we only paid I think it was $174 and we had lunch from the buffet included (but only one plateful, but that was enough)..which included either snorkelling or a glass bottom boat tour. It ended up being one of our cheapest days out.

Our last day there ended up costing us nearly $2000 because we missed our flight and had to pay full fares for another flight, and my hubby got a speeding fine on the way to the airport!..But that’s another story.

Great holiday…Great destination…Great apartments! (Yes I forgot to mention that Southern Cross Atrium Apartments are beautiful, the kids loved the 3 pools and we had a few BBQ’s next to one of the pools while we were there.

The kids loved the fact that they had their own bathroom, lounge, bedroom and kitchen, and the apartment was cleaned while we were there on about the 5th day!. Great location too for the apartments they are close enough to walk to the city centre and right next to a Shopping Centre

We will definitely be back next year!

Sorry that it’s taken so long to reply to your email. It’s the first chance I’ve had since arriving back from a two month tour round Australia we are feeling a bit miserable at the moment as we are back in snowy cold England freezing to death while you lucky ozzy’s are basking in sunshine in beautiful Cairns, out of all the places we visited Cairns was the tops very friendly relaxed atmosphere we only wish we had spent more of our holiday there instead of in the cities like Perth and Sydney Brisbane not that I am saying that there’s anything wrong with them it’s just one city is pretty much like another where as Cairns had nice shops of course but also a lagoon that made all the difference where you could swim with out the fear of been swallowed by a croc or shark etc . We also enjoyed going for walks along the Esplanade and the pier marina or in my case Troy been pushed on my wheels. When we arrived at the airport we managed to get a wheelchair taxi almost straight away there was plenty of them waiting for fares so we had no problem getting to our apartment the cost was about 20 dollars give or take a couple of bucks with tip of course. And the greeting from the driver no not more bloody poms which we kind of joked back at by telling him we had the ashes so be nice to us and you might get them back one day. Shooting star apartment is very nice clean and much more affordable then a hotel with more room to move around in a wheelchair the shower was excellent to use with lots of space a special seat with grab rail around the wall and also around toilet making the bathroom area very disability friendly and safe to use for all kinds of handicapped people. The manager was very friendly and staff and would bend over backwards to make sure everything was right for us. It’s so nice to have the facility to cook when and what you want without going to cafes and restaurants all of the time which can sometimes be expensive if you have to do that every time your in a hotel this is why we like the apartments .there is also a laundry room on the premises which is very good with plenty of space for a wheelchair user should you need to use it. The security was also very good with proper electric gated entrance making you feel safe at night. I found cairns mostly flat for my chair and easy to explore unlike most other places around and about Australia the shopping arcade is very nice and modern. I would recommend Cairns to everybody who visits Australia in my opinion it is to nice to miss out on , I would like to come back in the future when we save enough to do the trip down under again. So we will be in touch again with out a doubt, thank you troy for all your help and kindness.

Good Evening Troy.

Our stay in Cairns was very good. The apartment was excellent but could be improved in one small way. I think they need a small table and two chairs inside the apartment. The outside table was OK but nobody eats all meals and spends that much time outside, especially when it is that hot.

The service from yourself and FNQ Tourist Information was above expectation. Even when we changed the date of our reef trip all was handled very well and we were expected on the later day. It was a shame that I suffered from sea sickness on the trip but the reef and the Low Isles were still enjoyable. Maybe next time I will give the Wave Dancer a miss and stick to the larger vessels.

By far the best attraction was the Skyrail and train outing. They were good but the best part of the day was the lunch at the Rainforestation centre. The variety was excellent and all types and nationalities were adequately catered for. Yes I would recommend the day especially the lunch.

On the other days we toured up to the Daintree and down as far as Mission Beach and out to Atherton and the tablelands. You definitely need to hire a car to visit all the surrounding countryside.

Hi troy, We had a great time in Cairns. It was the first time we have been there so we were not sure what to expect. The tours were all 100% A1. We loved them. The cruise was great. Top class boat, staff, food, diving, snorkling etc. etc. The tour to cape trib with Brad was excellent. He is so informative - we learnt so much about so many things from Brad all the people involved with all the tours. Really interesting. I would highly recommend anything to do with Down under tours and if you can pass on our thanks to them all that would be good. The trip to Kuranda was lovely, we all had a ball. The scenery from the train and the skyrail was fantastic.

The Bay Village was all satisfactory, very neat and clean and new, but if we came again I would probably stay at Palm Cove or Trinity Beach or somewhere because when you are coming up from Melbourne (the big City) you really want to stay somewhere very palmy and tropical and pretty and a lot of the places in cairns are very concrete and citified, which worked out OK as a base but not really 100% appealing and relaxing for the price you pay.

Anyway, you did a great job booking everything and sent me all the itinerary which I kept with me at all times and everything worked out 100% organised so I would certainly recommend and use you and your company again. Thanks so much.

The two excursion have been beatifull.The people who we have met were all friendly and competent we had enjoy our time with them.

Had a great Holiday. Very happy with service from you. Everything went smoothly. Hire car great. Portsea excellent, very friendly. Pool was fantastic for children little and big, and was just what we were after. Very close to beach also so again great for kids. Breakfast each morning very nice. Apartment at Portsea good. Kitchen smaller than expected and worth noting that no oven. Often easier to eat out. But lots of spots to eat out. Pub had excellent food. We had an apartment that was facing out/away from Portsea and 2 stories up. This actually gave us more privacy, as you can look into many apartments on the ground floor facing inwards. We would ask for one facing out again, and would gladly go back to Portsea.

Our Accommodation at the Central Plaza Apartments, was excellent.The only criticism I have is,Guest nomally have a folder you can read up on , on how to use various appliances. Or suggested restaurants we should try on our visit. On the third day I asked at reception if there was such a folder. There was , I was told they have just come in. Troy I may be a bit hard, but I thought someone at reception could have showed us to our Apartment & explained the workings of the various appliances.

Haba Snorkelling. Great Day., Great Crew. Excellent Day . I was going to book Quicksilver, I am glad you changed my mind.

Restaurants Visited in Port Douglas & surrounding Areas.

Mango Jam , Zinc,Star of Siam,Paddy's, Ironbark Saloon, Cactus Bar & Grill & Ellis Beach Bar N Grill. All were very good.

Cafe By The Sea. We had lunch on the way back from the Daintree. Excellent.

Favourite Restaurant.

Gone Bananas.We went there on our last night, I only wished we went earlier, We would of gone back again.Great Service,Great Food & Great Decor.

Places visited.

The Daintree,Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge, Ellis Beach & Palm Cove.

We did all of the above by car at our own leisure & had some great days.

We had a great holiday! The Jack & Newell Apartments were very nice, extra clear, and the management couple were very helpful

and friendly. The Avis Rental Car, that you arranged, was easy to get to and the Nissan we rented was great. We received a voucher

booklet from Avis that we used and saved quite a bit of money. We took Passions of Paradise out to the outer reef and really enjoyed it.

The crew was great and the boat was extremely clean and well equipped. We stayed at Palm Cove and loved it. Over all everything

went extremely well. We appreciate the arrangements you made for us.

The accommodation at both Cairns and Palm Cove were excellent and the carhire of the 2 vehicles from europcar went smoothly and safely.We did the usual tourist venues between Port Douglas and travelled as far south as Airlie Beach. Thoroughly enjoyed 3 days at Mission Beach with a day trip to Dunk Island.Of course the skyrail trip to Kuranda was spectacular. We didn't do a reef trip as we have been to Michaelmas Cay and to Green Island on a prevous trip. Thank you for your excellent service and we will certainly reccommend your company to our friends.

We all had a great time in Cairns, it all just went too quickly.

Oasis Inn - basic room however very clean and comfortable (glad you advised us to stay less time here and more nights at the Lakes Resort).

Lakes Resort - lovely, facilities great (the pools however were freezing cold so spent very little time in the pools, it was a shame they weren't heated a little to take the chill off them!), we spent our time on the tennis court instead.

I felt the staff behind the reception at Lakes did not know enough about the local area, re: public transport, whereabouts of local shops etc. however in all the Lakes was a great place to stay at.

We went on the Big Cat to Green Island - very enjoyable.

Karunda rail/cable car - enoyable.

Billy Tea, Cape Trib, Daintree - great day out.

As with your services (FNQ Tourist) - 10 out of 10, we had no problems with any of our bookings and everything flowed smoothly. I wouldn't hesitate to use your services again and would recommend your services to family and friends.

I really enjoyed my stay in Cairns. I was traveling alone, but I did various excursions, including a 4WD safari into the rainforest, a daytrip to Cooktown, a trip to the outer barrier reef (with Quicksilver) and a day at Fitzroy Island.

I was very happy with my accommodation (Southern Cross Atrium Apartments). It was perfect for me, nice apartment, good location and good value. I’d been staying in hotel rooms for the previous week, so it was nice to have a little more independence.

I was very happy with your services in helping be to find suitable accommodation. You were very attentive, calling me in England even when it was late at night over in Australia!
