The 68km route (one hour drive) north from Cairns has some of the most spectacular scenery in the world. Port Douglas with its population of nearly 9,000, is home to some of Tropical North Queensland's most exclusive resort, restaurants, galleries and world class shopping. A amazing combination of sophisticated town and friendly village you can't help but be immersed in the welcoming atmosphere.

The centre consists of one main street, Macrossan Street, which runs from Dickinson Inlet to the Coral Sea (Four Mile Beach). At the inlet end of Macrossan Street is Anzac Park where the Sunday markets, which are filled with colourful stalls offering foods, fruit, flowers, art and crafts all of high quality and from the local region.
