Troy, Thanks for reminding me. Yes we had an absolutely lovely time. We'll be back.. and probably in the same appartment as we really couldn't fault it. We didn't really do very much, just relaxed. Walked up and down the strip. Had a massage each at the Sebel (OK) and a great dinner also at the Sebel on the Saturday night. And that's about it. Worth pointing out that pretty much as soon as we got there we were planning the next trip, but will probably take our 2.5 year old next time and get out and explore a bit more up the coast. So in all very happy with the accomodation and your arrangements. Again thanks so much for all your help. Look forward to next time. Regards,Michael

Hi Troy Thanks for your email. Our holiday was really good, although you could have turned on a little more sunshine, and a few less showers. However, the weather did improve after the 1st day.The apartment was excellent - just right for 2 couples and we were placed in the apartment where we had asked to be (downstairs by the BBQ & pool). I thought that the lady running them was very good, helpful, and kept people to the rules regarding noise etc. She was also very helpful in ordering us taxis, prior to us getting a rental car. The unit was very clean, and we would most certainly book again to stay there if we returned to Carins, as they are so handy to everything. RegardsNoleen

Hi TroyWe had a terrific time , got back home yesterday and it was a shame to leave the warm weather behind (rather cold here, only about 17C).The accommodation was awesome, we were very impressed, it was by far the best place & value for money we had over the 3.5 weeks on our travels, the staff were lovely, location was perfect, facilities, cleanliness etc was top notch. We went on the Osprey V tour on the 24th, however the boat was rather full the day we went and rather uncomfortable, I believe they had close to 100 people and it made moving around the boat a real pain, please pass on this feedback, we have been on over a dozen outer reef tours in the last 3 years and this was among the worst given the numbers allowed. The food was great and so was the crew as well as the destination but the boat they have is not equipped to cater for these numbers. We also went to Green Island with Great Adventures & did the Skyrail / Kuranda day which were both great days and good providers. As far as FNQ Tourist Information & yourself, the service was above and beyond anything we could have expected, the advice, speed of service, pricing etc was exceptional so thank you very much, we will definitely utilize your services again on our next trip to CairnsI hope this is what you were after, if not just let me knowMany thanks for everythingRegardsPaul

Everything was fine, thank you. Melaleuca Resort v. comfortable with most helpful and cheerful managers. We had a great trip to Cape Trib with Wait-a-while, with a fantastic guide. Finally got to Green Island but wouldn't recommend having lunch on the boat: it was timed in such a way that we had to cut short our snorkelling to be back on board to catch it. Peggy.

Hi Troy,My family and I had a great time at Port Douglas. We enjoyed the accommodation facilities and took part in several activities. We visited Mosman Gorge, snorkelled at the Agincourt reef, spend time at the 4 mile beach and went fishing. The young couple (care takers of the property) at the Nautilus accommodation were very friendly, and helpful. We were pleased with the friendly and good service rendered by FNQ Tourist Information. Booking details were accurate and did not have any issues or problems. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your services.Regards,Raja

Hi Troy,Thanks for your email. I thoroughly enjoyed my holiday in Pt Douglas, I was extremely happy with the accomodation, I thought it was very clean, modern and fresh looking for the price paid. I found the reception staff there extremely helpful and friendly. As for activities, I mainly relaxed by doing massages and treatments. Also I participated in white water rafting on the Russell River and hot air ballooning. Also I went to the breakfast with the birds. Overall I was very impressed with the holiday and would definately consider going to Pt Douglas for another holiday.Thank you for your intrest.King regards,Renee

Hi Troy,Had a wonderful holiday in your beautiful part of the world. The apartment was very nice & the service from you was excellent (and appreciated). We hired a car while we were there & did a lot of driving - Daintree, Cape Trib. Port Douglas and northern & southern loops onto the tablelands, Skyrail & the Tjapukai experience. All thoroughly enjoyable. We didn't do any boat trips because we have done them on previous jaunts to FNQ. We have also previously been to Broome & Darwin so didn't do any of the zoo/crocodile type tours. Tjapukai experience was very theatrical & enjoyable but suspect that it is geared more for (and would appeal more to) international tourists than home-grown ones. Good fun anyway although slightly expensive - food was brilliant.Had a ball Troy & sincere thanks for all your efforts in securing the lovely apartment for us. The manager on site (Rob/Bob I think) was also very nice and extremely helpful - he even squirted the fruit bat sh%# off our hire car!Cheers (name withheld)

Hello, Thank you for your e-mail and sorry I haven't answered it sooner - have been really busy. Firstly I would like to say how disappointed we were not to meet you. My daughter said she knew you were based in Cairns, but for some reason I thought you were in Port Douglas!! As you may remember we stayed at the Villa San Michele. We would like to say how very happy we were with the Service we received from everyone especially Toni Graham the Manager. The first night we were in an upstairs room and when Toni learnt that Graeme had had a knee replacement and was having a slight problem with the stairs she offered us an apartment on the 2nd floor, straight off the street. The family helped us in the morning and we moved into that apartment without any trouble and were extremely satisfied there. I would have no hesitation in recommending the apartments and the staff to anyone. (The one complaint when I got into one of the pools I lost my breath, it was sooooooo cold!!!!!!!!!) We did our Tour Bookings through Toni and had no problems with those - only the weather! Tried to pick a fine day without any wind to go out to the Reef and eventually went to the Low Isles Inner Reef the second to last day and not only was it windy, it also rained and was quite cold - not anyone's fault. The family had been to the Outer Reef the day before and had slightly better weather and a nice time. We also went up to Cape Tribulation and the Daintree one day which was excellent and another on the Skyrail and Kuranda train, stopping off at the Outback Opal Mine shop for morning tea, which was shocking. We had a talk by a non-Australian whom we couldn't understand, then were told we didn't have time to watch the video and had to hurry with our cup of tea to get on our way. The Skyrail was really great and the train (which Graeme and I had been on in 1983 was disappointing) crowded and we couldn't hear the commentary. One morning we went to The Rainforest Habitat and had Breakfast with the Birds - it was splendid. We also went out to the Mossman Sugarmill for a visit / Tour only to discover as we hadn't pre booked we were unable to go, which was disappointing, but our fault. The day we were to fly out from Cairns to Brisbane our plane developed a malfunction as we were taxi-ing out on the runway and we returned to Cairns where we had to spend the night. The communication by Virgin Blue was a little lax whereby we really didn't know what was happening until the last minute when we were sent off to the Lake Hotel for the night (9.30pm until 3.30am). However Virgin Blue were short staffed and those on the counters and at the airport did their best under the circumstances. Unfortunately our 15 year old grandson lost a near new navy hooded sweat shirt between the airport, taxi and the hotel which nobody managed to pickup or hand in. We enjoyed our time at Port Douglas but found most things ofcourse channeled to the tourists and it had certainly changed since we were last there in 1983!!!. Prices we felt were quite high as a result of it being a tourist spot. Had some lovely meals out but a lot of the eating places were just too expensive for families. However having said that we had some lovely BBQ's at both the San Michele and the Beachfront Terraces. Had some lovely swims in the sea which were much warmer than the pools. So all in all our holiday in FNQ was successful and much of it due to your contribution with our accommodation. Thank you once again Sincerely Robin and Graeme

Hello Troy Sorry about the delay in responding to your request - quite an accumulation of family tasks requiring immediate attention awaited me on my return. Our holiday in FNQ was just beautiful: excellent accommodation at "Getaway on Grafton"; unbelievably beautiful scenery; friendly people and perfect weather combined to make our Cairns holiday one of the best we've experienced. In fact, my husband requested a return visit next year, so that's high praise indeed. As to what we did .... where to begin!!! We hired a car, and in 1200kms of driving, explored Cairns and immediate surrounds then headed off to Mission Beach (beautiful) Port Douglas (very lovely) Mossman Gorge and the Daintree (even saw sugar-cane trains), Atherton and the tablelands (fantastic natural beauty, exquisite waterfall circuit etc) - magnificent!!!Then we caught the Scenic train for a day trip to Kuranda, explored the delights there and returned by Skyrail. Quite a highlight in itself. We took a tour with Big Cat over to Green Island and spent a fabulous day there just before we came home. I might add that we lived on a diet based around exquisite seafood and fruit for the entire 10 days!! Sounds a bit bland when put so baldly but I can assure you it was anything but!! Truly one of the loveliest trips we've ever done, and a very big "Thank You" to you for your assistance and advice. As I said, God willing, we'll definitely be requesting a "return visit". Cairns must be one of Australia's Best Kept Secrets: beautiful scenery, fantastic shopping; great cafe scene; fabulous eateries - just the most amazing place, and VERY reasonably priced. Cheers Robyn

Hi Troy, its Samantha Our Cairns trip was the best trip we have ever taken!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!You did such a great job in locating accomodation for us when we went to Cairns, that me and a friend are seriously thinkning about moving to Cairns for 6 months on a working holiday. We were wondering if you could maybe send me some information on any long term accomodation prospects for 2 people for about 6 months, begining early April, 2006? We are contemplating units, like the ones we are staying in? or other apartments? Or would you recomened sharing a house with others? Whatever the accomodation, it must be situated close to the town center, and within walking distance. Your help would greatly be appriciated. From Samantha

Hi Sara, I must say, we loved our holiday so much, we didn't want to leave and we are grateful we decided to extend the stay after you had suggested it to us. Accommodation was absolutely perfect. Palm Cove is a beautiful place, lucky people who call it home.... Highlight of our holiday was a trip to Cape Tribulation - unforgettable.Thank you for organising our stay. We've been very pleased with your service, follow ups and person-to-person contact. No travel agent could match that. We will definitely recommend your services to our friends and we are hopping to come back.... Regards Vlasta

Dear Chris,Our recent holiday to Far North Queensland, involved a 4 night stay at the Cairns FNQ Reef Palms Hotel, in Digger St. Both my wife and myself were extremely happy with the service, the price and the friendliness of the staff at the hotel. The amenities at the hotel were excellent and we readily enjoyed a cool swim in the pool every afternoon, after our hectic schedule. Location , near the Esplanade, and close to the airport, northern beaches and town centre proved to be very beneficial. Indeed , we would highly recommend to any of our friends, a stay at the Reef Palms,if they were contemplating staying in Cairns. Thanks again for helping make our holiday, a very special oneMichael and Wendy

Sara, thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very impressed with the apartment - private and quiet. A real selling point in not facing the pool as it turns out (noisy kids). We did a day on the Michelmaey Cay trip with Ocean Sprit - excellent day, enhanced by the perfect weather. Rest of the time was pure R&R. Enjoyed the restaraunts we ate at etc. A suggestion if I may - to offer a 'welcome package' for those who fly in of say $50+ worth of essential groceries - some of the apartments on Hamilton Island offer this service. Also was confused re the servicing of the apartment - was expecting one service whilst we were there. All in all, excellent holiday. Will be back for a next time, Wayne

Dear Sara,We had a good break at Palm Cove. We have been to Palm Cove many times over the years when our children were young. The Sea Temple accommodation was very nice and well located with easy access to the beach. The lighting on the walk and flames give a good atmosphere. The room is well set out and equipped with the only suggestion being a chair inside would be nice. The check in arrangement worked well as we were met out the front and escorted into our room. We walk up an down Palm cove several times looking at all the changes and shopping. Pizza at Il Forno was as good as ever and the Cafe De Lema food was excellent. Deli at Sea Temple end of Palm Cove was also very good. Watching the Cowboys win at the Hotel was fantastic but pity they couldn't back up.Trip into Cairns with breakfast on the Esplanade with great view across the lagoon and picnic in park near the skateboard bowl. Esplanade redevelopment looks great.Shopping at Myers and a quick visit to the Casino. We then had a couple of days on the Tableland which is always a great place to visit.Arrived home refreshed and unfortunately had to return to work this week. Thanks Claude

Hi Sara, We had a great holiday in Cairns, thanks. Cairns is a wonderful holiday destination, combining a relaxed pace with first class attractions and tropical climes. We enjoyed a day on the reef, a day visit to Kuranda and the rest of the time relaxing. The Southern Cross Atrium apartments are of a high standard that met our accommodation wants and needs while in Cairns perfectly. The central location, modern well equipped and maintained apartment and friendly and efficient staff made the stay very relaxing and enjoyable. The only slight flaws we can think of are the shutters in our apartment (1206) which jammed when we attempted to fold them back, the stick on cover over the blinds in the bedroom that fell down in the middle of the night and we would have appreciated the provision of salt and pepper with the tea and coffee. The appliances were modern, comprehensive and in good working order. The fans and air conditioning were particularly appreciated. Thanks for putting us up. Kind regards Chris and Nicki

Troy,Thank you, I am more than happy to reply and happy for you to use my comments. I will definitely use your services again. We stayed in two apartments in Cairns and were very happy with each. Everything was so easy and I found it very helpful that you had actually viewed the properties beforehand and could assure me that there would be enough room for all 6 of us.Thanks. I will be recommending your services to other people, particularly those living on TI who regularly holiday in the far north.RegardsJanelle

Hi Troy, Everything regarding our holiday in Cairns was great, thanks very much. The accommodation was first class as was your service in finding it for us. We did the normal tourist trips, Kuranda, Daintree, beaches etc, all was wonderful. Must comment on the local bus service, it was terrific, in both timetable and fares. I would certainly recommend tripping around by local transport. Once again I thank you for you great service, I will cetainly use FNQ again and have no hesitiation in recommending your services to all and sundry. RegardsColin

Hello Sara We had a great time from the the beginning the transfer was on time and very courteous. We love Peppers and the Penthouse (room 1336) we stayed in was very nice. The bedroom wardrobe space and lack of coat hangers was a little challenging but we managed. The bathroom lighting was really interesting with just one globe above the sink, hmmm interesting. The airconditioning in the bedroom was very noisy while the one in the kitchen was whisper quiet. We loved the plunge pool and the roof top area. The staff were excellent, nothing was a problem and the attention was appropriate without being too much. We stayed at this hotel last April and I must say the staff (although many are still the same) performed at a level that created a feeling of welcome. I liked the touch of receiving a notice the evening prior to departure from reception informing us of our departure and our transfer time, it saved us having to check that everything was in place. Thanks for the email Greg

Troy, In general we were very happy with the accommodation. Good location, very clean and well equipped. While it was mainly a working holiday for me, my wife and son enjoyed shopping, walking and visiting the lagoon pool on the foreshore. We also spent a day in Port Douglas, half a day at Palm Cove and a day at Yorkeys nob. We also spent a day at Kuranda, travelling up in the Sky rail and back on the train. We had tried to arrange this through the contact numbers on the brochure but gave up. I consequently rang your number and "bingo" all was arranged with a minimum of fuss. I have commented to others at work and elsewhere that your service was the best I have encountered and I will certainly recommend you to others. I will use your service again as I often travel to Cairns as part of my work. In the past when alone I have stayed at Trilogy but will contact you next time to see what you have. Ok to use any of the above on your web page. Regards Peter
