Just got back from a week at Palm Cove ,stayed at Island Views Apartments. The apartment was amazing. It had everything you need and more. Loved the big balcony and view! Would definitely recommend and would love to go back again!

The arrangements for our holiday in Cairns went without a hitch, the accommodation at Floriana was as good as expected and we found was extremely well fitted out with all the necessities we required . John & Jan could not have been more helpful and added greatly to the pleasure of our stay . We organised and drove ourselves to re- visit the Daintree area , the Tablelands etc . A boat trip on the Daintree was very interesting and we generally enjoyed the good weather and the unique feeling of the far North. If we have the opportunity to travel to Cairns again we would be happy to make the same arrangements.

Thank you so much for booking us into the Mantra Trilogy, the 2 apartment were excellent and in a great position.
They made us feel very welcome, and would stay there on our return one day.
Sorry about the delayed response.
WE loved Cairns and the Lakes Resort was great but the one thing I would do next time is to request a ground level room especially with kids and also stay closer to the esplanade. It was too far to walk with two prams and a 5 year old. We went on the Sky Rail and on a cruise to Green Island,.
We loved Cairns and would definitely return for another holiday.
Thank you for your assistance.
Hi Sara, thanks we had a great time. The Sea Temple was great, and we loved the apartment. We went to Hartley's Crocodile Park, and that was fantastic, and we went on the scenic railway and the skyrail, which was also great. Your service was excellent, thanks so much for everything.
I had a great time at Port Douglas, especially being warm, it is very cold in Adelaide!
The Heritage was very nice, the only complaint was the people in the upstairs apartment. They were very noisy dragging chairs on the tiles.
It would be much less noise if some velcroe could be attached to the bottom of the chairs. (I have some on mine)
Favourite places: 2Fish
Seafood shop (Wharf Street)
Book Shop (great coffee)
Aquarius to Low Ilses, wonderful
The girls at Boutique were very professional, bus didn't collect me back to Cairns, so a car was arranged.
Many thanks for everything,
Yes, we are back home, to the cold climate!
On behalf of myself and my family, I want to thank you for everything you have done for us in arranging our accommodation, and helping with details of shops etc.
It was everything we could have wanted. The apartment was well equipped, down to the small details. Our main dilemma was not hiring a car from the beginning, not realising we were further than a gentle stroll from a main shopping centre, and from Cairns. On the first day, we walked to Clifton Beach, but managed to catch a bus back. Our fault for lack of planning, but we had a good look around!
We went to Palm Cove for a family wedding, and the rest was just a bonus. The wedding and setting was beautiful, set in the grounds of the Novotel. Our surroundings were unbelievable, it was our first trip to Queensland, and we would love to come back. We had a trip to Karunda on the Skyrail and Train, which we enjoyed immensely. Another day we hired scooters, and went to Barron Gorge, Lake Placid and Crystal Cascades. We drove to Cairns, and looked around, finishing with a visit to the Casino. It is a wonderful part of Australia.
We really appreciated your help in booking our accommodation and finding places for us. Once again, thank you.
As mentioned, we lived in Cairns (Holloways Beach) for 22 years. So our trip was not a holiday as such. We had a wedding to attend so there was lots of family and friends to catch up with. We didnít participate in any activities or go on any trips.
That being said, we were very impressed with our unit. We were delightfully surprised to find coffee, tea, sugar, salt, washing liquid and even additional toilet rolls in the unit. It was lovely to see an owner thinking about those little extras which can add to the cost of any holiday Ė especially when you normally have to throw out the leftovers because you canít fit them in the suitcase to go back home. If there was one failing it was that we had to buy a tea towel as we couldnít find one (my husband doesnít like using dishwashers). Actually the sliding door near the TV would only open on one side (ie the left door when standing inside would not open).
I will have no hesitation in recommending FNQ Apartments to friends and family.
Thanks for your help in finding this unit.

Thank you FNQ for arranging Accommodation at Sea Temple, Palm Cove and Hire Car for our family trip to Cairns. Everything went smoothly, even when we arrived after midnight we were checked in at Reception and a Porter helped us with our luggage. All of the staff were friendly and helpful at all times and we enjoyed the buffet breakfast every morning at the resort. The lagoon pool and grounds were beautifully kept and our 2 bedroom penthouse was very comfortable and clean. Daily service meanít that I didnít have to lift a finger to do any chores which was wonderful! I enjoyed a lovely relaxing treatment at the spa and we snorkelled on the Great Barrier Reef, lucky enough to enjoy calm conditions and good visibility. A fabulous short winter break and gorgeous weather. We would very much like to revisit next year and perhaps try Sea Temple, Port Douglas for a change! Iím sure it will be just as wonderful!
Only criticism Ė kids can get a little too noisy around the pool area. If only their parents would supervise more and take into consideration the comfort of the other guests who are trying to relax in peace.
Thought you were extremely helpful, really enjoyed the Peninsula Hotel. It was a terrific alternative offered by yourself, when I left it late to book anywhere. Would go back again.
Drove up to Cape Trib. Did Kuranda railway and Cable car
Went up estuaries and viewed crocs. Went cane toad racing. Obviously enjoyed all the excellent restaurants available also
Very impressed by both, Port Douglas and your outstanding service and follow up Ė Thanks again.
The guys were extremely happy with everything. They loved their accommodation and though it was a bit of a walk into town, being young and fit, it didnít worry them. They thought the unit was lovely. They did a 4 day scuba course, which they loved and they also went on tour to the Daintree, loved that.
The highlights for them all was the Daintree tour, they saw crocodiles AND a cassowary with a chick!! And of course the Scuba course was what they went over for and diving on the reef was something they will remember for a long time.
Thankyou for your excellent service, when I needed to change the dates it was done without any problem.
When we next go to Qld we will definitely use your company.
The holiday was fantastic and wish we were back there in the warmer weather compared to what we are experiencing now.
We were so excited to visit Cairns and we were looking forward to the warm weather! Cairns is a well set up town with easy access to the CBD area. The people are so lovely and friendly and so helpful. We were very impressed with the pick up services the tours offered, this was very encouraging to see and it gave you pieve of mind knowing you were picked up and dropped off literally at your door step. We had quiet a busy week going to the Daintree Rainforest, Cape Tribulation, Karunda Train and Skyrail, Hartley's crocodile farm, Green Island, Great Barrier Reef, jet skiing, para sailing and tubing, swimming in the lagoon and lovely walks along the esplanade at dusk! I couldn't recommend these activities enough and encourage everyone to see them all.
The apartment we stayed in was FANTASTIC, we couldn't be happier! The room was very clean and tidy and also modern. The view from the balcony was surreal. Tony was exceptional in every way coming to our rescue one day, he was lovely to deal with. Thank you very much for all you help, i will definitely be recommending your services to anyone who mentions they want to see Cairns.
Yes I am only too pleased to comment on my stay in Port Dougls and especially at Driftwood Mantary.
It was my second stay with FNQ in Port Douglas. The first time was excellent, this time even better. Driftwood Mantaray
was ideal. Well located at the quiet end of Macrossan St. it was ideal for beach, shops and restaurants. Driftwood Mantaray apartment itself had everything. Loads of room and enough space to accommodate six people if necessary. With only two bedrooms the general all-round space was really excessive. We felt really spoilt. Very well decorated, and well equipped with all utensils for full cooking, should it be required. Our balcony overlooked BOTH swimming pools and ideal for evening relaxation, with a good chardonnay. Although we arrived late in the evening all information we may require was left for us by the management.
Two trips were booked for us by FNQ, prior to arrival. . Tonys Tropical Tours was a fantastic day trip to the Daintree river, ( where we DID see several crocs, as promised by our boat skipper "Bruce") Cape tribulation, bloomfield track, & the fabulous Daintree forest. Included in the trip was a good barbecue lunch. Our second trip was to the OUTER barrier vreef. I have done the reef many times, but relatively close in. This was soooooo different. A magical wonderland in every way. A huge pontoon is anchored right in the diving area. All you need is there, from a semi-submersible to bubble topped dive suits, where you can experience all the wonders of this fantastic place, with no experience at all in diving. Also plenty of really helpful staff available for all activities. The included buffet lunch was outstanding. So much choice and plenty for all. These two trips are a must whilst in Port Douglas.
I have holidayed in Australia many times in the past 15 years. My Port Douglas stay with FNQ was the best so far.
We were really impressed with the Boutique Collection Apartment! It was exactly as it looked in the photo! Very very nice. We are very fussy about an apartment being clean and it was!
We loved the Kuranda Tour and the Reef Experience, but were a bit unlucky with the weather. It was rainy and overcast and I like swimming and we didnít swim.
The 4WD drive tour was excellent. Our tour guide Fin was very interesting and fun.
We hired a car to see the Mossman Gorge and the Milaa Milaa waterfall and both were fantastic. We also drove to Port Douglas.
Cairns was really clean and the foreshore was amazing.
We really appreciated all your services.
The Northshore Apartment was central and it was easy to walk into town for breakfast.
Thoroughly enjoyed our break. Activities included walking around Port Douglas (Mocrosson Street), kids played in parks, shopping, eating out, croc farm, went to Palm Cove for a day, enjoyed the Sunday markets, as well as the Marina.
Cannot complain. Everything was perfect. Would come again. The swim-out room was great for the kids.
We had a terrific holiday in Cairns and Port Douglas. Thank you for suggesting Waters Edge Apartments - they were perfect for our needs and very spacious. We stayed in on a number of nights and had some lovely meals with the Roos family who were placed next door to us. The facilities and the service were terrific. We went on one day trip to Kuranda - the train ride and sky rail were fantastic - I had no idea the scenery would be so beautiful. A lot of the stands at the market in Kuranda were closed, so I'm not sure we experienced it with the full atmosphere, but we certainly enjoyed the journey.
We also really enjoyed our stay in Port Douglas at Rendezvous - we met some friends there and it was a great place for young children. We mothers were very pleased with the free cooked breakfast (no dishes!) We did suffer quite a bit from midge (sandfly?) bites which was a little hard with the kids, and the bites still haven't cleared up even though we've been home a week! We didn't have any problems with them in Cairns though.
Thanks again for your help with our booking - we wouldn't hesitate to book with FNQ again.
A) We did mostly enjoy our stay at the Break Free Royal Harbour Resort. It is located in the centre of the esplanade area with great access to everything. There was just one drawback for us and that was that the apartment was noisy. When someone left their apartment beside ours, the door made a made a loud, echoing noise which woke us at midnight and 5am on two mornings. Conversations outside our apartment were audible inside. The activities we participated in were simple. We really just walked around the esplanade, marina and city streets as the weather was divine. We enjoyed some leisurely shopping at Cairns Central, swimming in the resort pool, listening to the various bands by the lagoon and eating at several esplanade restaurants.
B) I cannot fault your service. All of my queries were addressed and the voucher was forwarded promptly. As a result, checking-in at the resort was effortless.
