Listed below are some of the comments we have received from past customers.
Just a quick email to let you know we had a fantastic time on our recent visit to Port Douglas. We were really impressed by the apartment at Mandalay - beautiful surrounds, gorgeous balcony and daybed. Very luxurious. And Jacqueline and Raelene were very friendly and helpful with their advice and assistance. My boys (2 and 4) absolutely adored Milo the dog as well and looked forward to seeing him every morning!
I can't say enough about how wonderful the catamaran 'Sailaway' is - we had an amazing day trip out to Low Isles - a lovely, relaxing sail - fabulous snorkelling. The staff onboard were great as well - very informative, friendly and helpful with our young children. Overall, we came away from our holiday feeling like we had done everything we wanted to do! We will definately be back up there as soon as we can! We loved Port Douglas so much, we didn't want to leave.
Thanks for all your help, Sara.
Our holiday was great (especially the weather) accommodation and service at Garrick House was exceptional. We were granted the late check out and it was perfect and at no extra cost, we would certainly stay there again and as we usually come up each year we wont have to look around for somewhere else....We have stayed at Garrick House a few times years ago but it has been updated and the outdoor pool area was fantastic.
We went to the Daintree Village, and we always go on the Lady Douglas and we always enjoy that trip the most and again it didnt disappoint.
We were very happy with FNQ as your emails and booking details were perfect and we would book again through you when we come up.
We had a great time staying at the Island View apartments again. This was our second stay. We found unit 1 so nice a few years ago that we wanted to come back for our 40th wedding anniversary. The units are of such a high standard we decided not to stay anywhere else in case of disappointment. This time we stayed in unit 16 which was even better – higher up so better view, quiet and a gorgeous bathroom as well. We couldn’t really fault it other than say that fly screens could be a good idea as I wanted to open the windows at night but the light attracted too many bugs. Overall though the apartments are great, centrally located and yet very quiet and only across the road from the beach.
We had already done the Quicksilver to the reef, Karanda Sky Rail and a sail to the low isles many years ago which we found fabulous and good value for money. Last time when we stayed we did the Green Island tour which was a great day out. This time we just decided to relax and walk along the beach or sit by the pool. We had dinner at a different Restaurant each night as there are so many to choose from.
FNQ were again good to deal with. Our booking was no problem and even though we were running a little late, your consultant waited for us to get there so he could take us personally to the apartment and settle us in.
All in all a great time, glorious weather and luxurious apartment what more could we ask for?
Cant wait to come up again.

Trito was just as described in the internet. It was nice and very spacious for the 3 of us. We didn't even need to use upstairs. Trito was well equipped with kid friendly items and utensils, which were a hard find among all the holiday properties. A pity that none of the holiday houses in Palm Cove come with heated pool.
Palm Cove was relaxing and was not busy at all. During our stay Plam Cove was very windy due to the geographical location. We bumped in to "Muddy's Place" at the Esplanade in Cairns by accident, and our 2.5 yr loved it. The playground is done up really well, yet there was no reference to this place in any tourist brochures. We ended up driving to Esplanade, Cairns couple of times and it was also less windy in Cairns. The Zoo at Kuranda was great as well.
Bella Baci was the best restaurant,
FNQ had provided us with a superb customer service. They provided prompt reply to the numerous queries we had about the property. The information given to us were accurate and timely. We were especially pleased when Sara even followed up with us after my daughter had an accident during the holiday. And on top of it, FNQ provided a highly competitive rate for our stay. I would recommend FNQ to my friends and family for their holiday accommodation.
We had a great holiday and can't thank you enough for all your assistance. our appartment was simply the best had every thing we required and a fantastic look out over the harbour.
We did several tours starting with sky rail up to karanda and train down, tour out to green island, croc farm, casino dome, and the show at the casino was unreal, the food was great the weather good up til the last day. we only encounter freindly wonderful service from all teh places we went.
Cairns is a wonderful place and for us the tempeture was great. being from tassie with highs of 15dec going to 28-30dec was fantastic.
I will have no hesitation in recomending your company to my family and friends your service and follow up service is second to none. I will certainly be using you again.
once again many thanks
kind regards Julie
I am so sorry it has taken me so long to reply but things have been manic since I returned. I have to say that everything you did for me worked perfectly even the cancellations and rebooking elsewhere. I have already recommended you to friends who may be going to N Queensland and if we do come back, which we may at some stage in the future, you will be the first email I send.
Once again thanks for your detailed thought and work. Very best wishes
Happy for you to use my comments.
Thanks for your email. Appreciate the discount voucher again I’m sure we will use it sometime over the next twelve months.
Thank goodness Cairns was not badly affected with the cyclone early this year!!!
Once again we were delighted with Palm Cove. The weather was fantastic (wish we could have brought it back home to Sydney with us), the food as always fresh and delicious. Amphora once again was up to standard this was our third time staying. One tiny gripe was the noisy motor on the air conditioning unit outside our apartment of a night time when trying to sleep. ( I am a light sleeper) The rooms are spacious and clean. We had a one bedroom ocean view apartment and connecting hotel room. It was great to look out at the water and eat breakfast out on the balcony in the morning.
We visited Hartleys Crocodile Farm, great day out. Added bonus was the option to return over a three day period if you had the voucher stamped. My Aunty misplaced her reading glasses and the staff were fantastic. The glasses were found. (in the back of the car where she left them!!)
We went for a drive to Yorkeys Knob and had lunch at the Boating Club. Saw a flock of red tailed black cockatoos down by the beach, What an amazing sight. Beautiful birds.
The rest of the time we relaxed, ate slept and walked, it’s so easy to enjoy yourself in Palm Cove.
Looking forward to our next trip to beautiful Cairns, it never disappoints us. The sad part is the holiday is never long enough.
Will be in touch when we start planning our next holiday.
Thanks again Sara.
We had a wonderful time in Palm Cove and loved the Coral Horizons unit. All the trips were well organised and they helped us out with our different arrangements up to Kuranda.
We would love to recommend your company.
Thanks again for all your help.

LOVED LOVED LOVED our holiday-sOO glad we stayed at the beach club-we were delighted and extremely happy with the accommodation and service from boutique collection and the staff at peppers.
We LOVE Palm Cove and north to the Daintree-all the beaches on the way to Cape Trib were beautiful –the crocodile cruise was fun for the kids. We went to Paronella Park-just fabulous!! And the swim at Josephine falls just magic!!!! Couldn’t have asked for a better holiday!!! (though next time we won’t stay in Cairns as well-we’ll stay at Palm Cove the entire time!!!)
My daughter asked is we could stay athe The beach Club for “another 20 years or so”-we were so sad to leave…..
I would like to thank everyone at FNQ Apartments for their outstanding service in making the trip to Port Douglas beyond expectations.
The staff at FNQ went out of their way to make sure everything was catered for in what I had asked in regards to accommodation, and I would love to thank Sara for the upgrade to the Sea Temple which was amazing (what a place!). As stated, FNQ made sure it would be a great holiday.
Including the great service from FNQ, I was also very pleased with the holiday to Port Douglas from Dining out in the many wonderful restaurants and cafes to all the activities there was to offer. Snorkeling the GBR was a great day out and all the tour staff on board the Calypso were professional and really made the day special. Also must mention Down Under Tours, Ricky our Tour Guide to the Daintree was brilliant and full of knowledge about an amazing part of Australia. It was great to see the Daintree and surrounds such as Mossman Gorge and Cape Tribulation. And 4 Mile Beach is pretty awesome as well.
Thanks FNQ for all your wonderful efforts and service. Will be back for sure!!!
Thank you so much for guiding us to this accommodation
We absolutely loved Port Douglas - would recommend to anyone - any age - fantastic.
The accommodation was perfect with location, quality of accom and price - we were able to walk in a few minutes to markets, shops and restaurants, bars in the centre of town, the yacht club, marina village - which is really good & popular - lovely place to walk or ride your bike around - plenty to see and do - we are already planning the next visit.
The service we received from you the moment we contacted you through the internet was 100% - would totally recommend you and use you again - you answered every email promptly with information required and more.
Kind regards, Karen
The apartment at North Shore Tower was just beautiful, everything was perfect. I would have no hesitation in recommending it to my friends and family. It was a home away from home but a great holiday feeling. I would definitely stay there again.
The only thing I would recommend would have a list of restaurants and menus that would do home delivery.
Thank you for making our holiday so memorable.
We would like to thank you for our wonderful holiday in Far North Queensland, our accommodation at the Amaroo apartments was first class. We travelled to Cape Tribulation, Daintree National park, Mossman Gorge, and the wonderful and historic town of Kuranda. We have travelled all over the world, this was our first trip trip FNQ and we found it one of the most beautiful and scenic locations we have ever been to.
Also the day trip to Green Island that you organised for us was spectacular, it was amazing snorkelling on the great barrier reef and the lunch on board the Big cat was great.
Be assured if we come back to FNQ the first people we will contact is your company for any accommodation or day trips.
Once again thank you for your great service.
Phil & Corinne
Thanks for all your help in organising our trip.. We had a fantastic time, Cairns was just lovely, unfortunately we are now back to reality and I'm off to work this afternoon.
Once again thank you !!!!!
Just a quick note to let you know that we had a terrific time in Port Douglas and really enjoyed the accommodation. It was really good and we did not have any complaints. Our American visitors really enjoyed it to.
Many thanks for helping us arrange it.
Yes we had a wonderful holiday. A lovely place Port Douglas and it was a pretty quiet town which was good. The accommodation was recommended to us by friends in Alice Springs. The accommodation we had was a very good standard, clean and had everything we needed. The beds were so comfortable; a very good quality. I really appreciate a good night’s sleep and I certainly had no trouble sleeping any night we stayed there. I also appreciated that there were multiple pillows available of different softness levels. My husband has a bad back and has to sleep with 3 or 4 pillows.
We were lucky in our 3 bedroom unit, we had 2 TV’s so the kids could watch one and we had the other. We were lucky to have such beautiful weather while we were there, and there was not a fly, or a mossie anywhere!
The activities we did were as follows:
Drove to Mossman Gorge – the road in is narrow and people were parking on either side, so we had to wait or back up as there were bottle necks and cars pushing to get out as we’re trying to get in. There was a bit of road rage happening. It was on the Easter long weekend, so maybe not a good time to go there. Mossman gorge itself was great and we all enjoyed a lovely swim.
We drove to Mareeba and went to the War Museum (Beck’s Museum) there which my husband and son thoroughly enjoyed, and we also went to the Coffee Factory / Chocolate House in Mareeba. It’s great!! Great shopping as well. Didn’t do any crocodile tours, as we are from the territory and have done them before.
We drove up to the Daintree village, and we also crossed the Daintree River on the ferry and went to the heritage centre – canopy tower. It was very good, not as much there that I would have thought. and a bit expensive. The whole thing took an hour and that was really taking our time. The audio was extra and with 5 in our family it was another $25 on top of entry fee. The Audio was really worthwhile though. We went to the wildlife place near Port Douglas and had breakfast with the birds. Now that was very good, and I recommend that. We spent a few hours there and the kids really got a lot out of it, and learnt a lot.
We also went to Kuranda, up by train and down by sky rail. It was expensive but worth it. I found we should have allowed longer time up there because we spent an hour in the butterfly house, and then we only had 2 hours for lunch and a look around.
Kids also swam at 4 mile beach inside the stinger net and they had a ball, spending hours there. The surf café there is very, very good. Delicious food and has a kids playground. We also went to the On the Inlet restaurant and had a lovely feed of seafood and got to see them feed the groper. That was worth it. We also bought prawns directly from a fisherman in the marina and paid $12 / kilo for them, already cooked and they were beautiful. We also bought fresh fish and scallops and cooked them at the unit, from the seafood shop next door to the Mango Jam place.
We also went to the markets on Sunday, and kids had fun there. So in 9 days we did a lot and had some down time too. I recommend staying at the driftwood as it is central to shops and beach, and on a quiet end of town.
Thanks so much
Thankyou for your organisation in the accommodation part of our Port Douglas Holiday. This was a great help when we did not know the area for the family accommodation we required.
We our definitely very satisfied with the standards that Sara's report and recommendations from FNQ Apartments offered us.
We arranged some of our own activities prior to arriving in Port Douglas as these activities we had contacts for special offers, then a few days into our holiday we accessed our time schedule left and chose other family events.
Just replying to your email re. our holiday.
Thanks so much for organising the Tropic Sands. The apartment was just perfect and everything just as we hoped. We will certainly recommend it and you to our friends. We met some nice people staying at the apartments. It is in the best location and was fantastic that we could walk everywhere.
The transfers to our from the airport were very good. Prompt and courteous.
Our holiday was fantastic with the weather clearing just as we arrived. The self contained apartments were very well appointed and we all managed to obtain rooms on the same floor making communication and access so much easier. We could not have asked for more; Ocean views, mountain views, views of the two pools and all within walking distance of Muddies, the lagoon and town centre shops and the Cairns Casino. The prearranged day trips and car hire also worked really well, we had a ball. Thank you.
Thanks again for arranging it all and if we can, we’ll definitely be back – there was way too much to see and do in one short week.
Our holiday at Angsana in Palm Cove can only be described as-- superb--. Mind you ,distinct from the forecast before we left, the weather was nigh on perfect, which can of course make or break a holiday.
The train/skyrail trip to Kuranda was excellent, particularly the cleanliness of both vehicles and the friendliness of all the staff. The town itself is obviously suffering from the lack of tourist support with the renowned market obviously not what it used to be .Hopefully that will soon be a thing of the past. In any case it is well worth the ride up & back.
Thank you for getting us on the balloon flight . That was a great experience & oddly enough you don't feel any anxiety of not having an engine & wings! The pilot & support staff were great in the help they gave us, no doubt recognising we were 80 - odd year old boilers & not young chickens any more.!! Highly recommended to anyone.
As to your service to us, I am most sincere in giving you 10 out of 10 for the promptness of your responses, your suggestive ideas & the genuine friendliness of that service. In business, no matter what you are marketing, the key to success is to give good service and you do that very well.
Trust we can use your service in the future.
