Listed below are some of the comments we have received from past customers.
Thank you for your lovely Welcome email.
Our trip was wonderful. Palm Cove has left a lasting impression and we will certainly be planning another trip in the future.
Our accommodation at the Amphora was wonderful. The apartment was perfect for a family and we all enjoyed the amazing pool.
Greg and Marilyn do a wonderful job in the up keep of the apartment. It was very clean and well maintained.
On our trip we all enjoyed Hartley Crocodile Farm and the Sky rail.
We also hire a car for the day and drove up to Cape Tribulation and visited the Daintree discovery centre.
We were also quite surprised to bump into one of our Melbourne neighbors at Mossman Gorge.
The winds did not allow us to get to Green Island and the reef. (We would prefer a calm day for the boat ride). So we will have to schedule it in next time we come to FNQ.
Thank you for your wonderful service and look forward in contacting FNQ for any future trips.
Our stay at Palm cove was wonderful. The apartment at Peppers Beach Club was so comfortable. I must say that this is the first time I slept away from home where the bed was very comfortable. The beach pool was amazing. The kids never got bored. The location of the room was wonderful as well. It was very convenient going from the pool to the apartment.
The only activity the kids did was the kooranda rail and gondola which they loved. I just wanted to be by the pool.
So again thankyou for offering us a fantastic room.
Just a question- do you manage the Beach club in Port Douglas as well (thinking of next year!!).
Had a great time
We were very happy with our apartment at Mowbray by the Sea in Port Douglas. The position was great – so convenient to everything. My only negative comments would be:-
1. The four day room service didn’t happen on the day we were told it would.
2. The kitchen equipment needs to be upgraded. Example: We stayed in a two bedroom apartment that catered for four people. The kitchen contained three SMALL saucepans and one medium sized fry pan. So if you wanted to cook pasta for four there wasn’t a saucepan large enough! I mentioned this to the management and they said that other people have made the same comment.
We did a day trip to the reef with Poseidon which was very well run and most enjoyable.
I found your website and your staff to be very helpful in planning out trip to Port Douglas and would be more than happy to use your services again.
We had a fantastic holiday, the accommodation was of high standard, close to city centre, friendly staff. Would recommend the apartments to anyone with family or two couples like us.
We chose the Ocean Free sail boat to do the reef. Outstanding, relaxed, friendly sail. Only 27 people very relaxed no hassles. But if want to do more touristy reef adventures not for them. Liked the night life. Also done the skyrail and train. Overall had a relaxed and fun time .
We had a fantastic holiday. The accommodation well and truly lived up to our expectations.
The only thing that we did this time was go out to Michaelmas Cay with Ocean Spirit. We really loved this trip. We all thought it was a better trip than the one that we did with Quicksilver in April. It was more personal, more fun, and the staff were friendlier. We also thought the reef was prettier there as well. (Conditions were similar on both trips – quite overcast.) The rest of the time was spent swimming, eating, drinking and generally relaxing.
The standard of service you guys provide is fantastic, and we wouldn’t have any hesitation in recommending you to family and friends.
Thank you Sara,
for the assistance you gave prior to us arriving in FNQ. The Mantra Portsea accommodation and location was fantastic. We had great weather and will certainly travel back to Port Douglas. We thoroughly enjoyed walking the 4 mile beach and had a great relaxing time lazing about the Mantra Portsea lagoon pool. Although we had a great holiday, prior to arriving @ the Mantra Portsea I had arranged a pool access room which we didn't receive. My wife and I considered this a minor hiccup and have no hesitation returning back to FNQ. (GREAT PLACE).

i was very impressed with transfers, dive trip and especially the accommodation. The apartment was gorgeous, great view of the pool and resort, very clean and everything as communicated through yourself and the property's owner! I wished i had of organised more activities direct with FNQ as they turned out to be cheaper than actually organising them up in Port Douglas. i will use your service again and again if travelling up to FNQ. thanks for your assistance. All questions were responding to promptly and arranged with no hassles!
Thank you for the email!
We had a wonderful holiday in Palm Cove and were very happy with the service provided by FNQ Apartments. From quotation to booking the process was seamless and very easy. Thankyou for your help in sourcing the hire of the cot and pram for our stay in Palm Cove – this was one less job I didn’t have to worry about!
We had fantastic weather and the kids loved swimming in the pool everyday. We went to the Butterfly Farm and Cairns Zoo which was great for the kids. Muddy’s and the swimming pool on the esplanade were a big hit with the kids as well. This area is fantastic for families and more holiday destinations should have such areas.
Thanks again for all your help and I really appreciate the follow-up. It is not often these days that you get a “follow-up” call, so it is very nice see some old fashion service!
All in all it was an excellent visit and we thank you for arranging it for us and for being so helpful. Your knowledge and eagerness to assist was most appreciated. We look forward to doing it again in a few years time. We shall be back in touch with you to again help us.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in both Port Douglas and Palm Cove.
The accommodation , Club Tropical and Mantra Amphora , was of an excellent standard, and both were well positioned enabling us to enjoy the area without too much trouble. Club Tropical was well situated on the corner of Macrossan Street, so we walked almost everywhere.
The trip with Billy Tea Bush Safaris, while being most enjoyable, was a bit disappointing in that it didn't take us very far into the Bloomfield track. We had to cancel the Wavedancer trip, but made up for it by going to Green Island for the day.
We drove up to Mareeba to the Coffee works.. great coffee. We also did the Skyrail up to Kuranda, and the train back to Cairns. A great day, particularly visiting the butterfly house. All in all we were more than happy with your company's assistance in organising this stay and would recommend it to our friends and family.
Great web site.
We had a fantastic holiday. It was great to spend some time in FNQ. We spent 2 weeks relaxing by the pools and taking it extremely easy. We had a couple of day trips, one to the Tropical Zoo which was an enjoyable day and a day on the reef with Reef Magic (we'll be back to do this again for sure).
The apartment was perfect for us. We had 4 adults and a little 1 year old and there was plenty of room for all. We had everything we needed and it was nice to wake up each morning with the birds on your doorstep and views of the beautiful pool below.
We enjoyed it so much that we are considering coming up again next year and if so we will definately use your services again.
Thanks for making our holiday so easy and carefree.
We had a fantastic holiday, Getaway on Grafton was the perfect location,so central to Cairns, we could walk everywhere and the boys really enjoyed the pool and being able to walk to the Lagoon and Muddies.!!
The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful, and we recommend Getaways very highly!
As we have been to Cairns heaps of times before, we didnt do much of the tourist thing, but the oppurtunity to book day trips with them was great also.
Thanks for making our holiday accomadation so easy to find and book!! We had a blast!! Hope to be back again next year!!
Kind Regards, Michelle
Thank you we had a great time.
The Tropical Reef Apartments was a lovely place to stay it was so close to the beach and the shops.
Tanya the Manager was so helpful and super friendly. She gaves us plenty of ideas on what to do.
We went to Kuranda and did the skyrail, and did a few trips to the Daintree.....I am in love with Cape Trib its so beautiful there.
We couldnt go out on the reef it was choppy most days.
The only disappointing thing was the weather we only had 3 sunny days out of the 10. At least we could still get out and about to go shopping, bike riding and we visited the animal sanctuary and it was heaven just to chill out.
All in all it was a great get away and we had a fun and relaxing time.
Thank you for all your help in finding a place to stay.
Good morning Sara
We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Port Douglas/ Weather was good.
We booked our tours through Beach Terraces and that was easy (Treveen was helpful)
The accommodation was excellent and we loved the pool and barbecue area.
It was an easy walk to Macrossan Street ,Marina an beach.
Daintree Forest and Cape Trib. beautiful and Skyrail was a blast.
Services were excellent and restaurants great.
I would say we will be back in the near future.
A big thanks for all your help and support with organising our holiday to the beautiful Trinity Beach. You went out of your way to make sure our every need was met. Great communication and support throughout the whole process was much appreciated.
I cannot speak highly enough of Vue Apartments and Kym and Tony who were so lovely and extremely helpful during our stay. It was absolutely stunning there and the pool was amazing.. Our two year old had the best time great pool for kids and a fantastic location right opposite the beach!!
Thanks again Gabby :).
We had a wonderful week up in FNQ, which wasn’t quite long enough for me to get my rest and relaxation – too many activities that the family wanted to do together, so who was I to argue for sitting by the pool, or shopping for that matter (my boys hate shopping!!!). The Beach Club was a great resort, and our adjoining spa suite and apartment gave us plenty of room to spread out with the balconies opening onto the lagoon pool. As it was school holidays, there were plenty of kids and toddlers around, and getting a lounge chair by the pool deck or on the sand was near impossible – families would reserve their spots in the morning and keep their towels “saving their spot” all day. I’ve heard that a few weeks prior that it was very quiet with no kids in sight, so I guess its all in the timing. Room facilities were great!!
With a 9yr old and a 15 yr old our activities were our focus. We hired a car through Avis at the airport to make our lives easier. One day spent on the reef travelling with Aristocat – a great day, but remember the seasickness tablets!!! Snorkelling was great at 3 different sites, and the crew was fantastic!!
Another day travelling up to Cape Tribulation, stopping for a Daintree River cruise with Nice’n’Easy cruises. A wander on the beach, lunch at Cape Trib and they a drizzly afternoon in the treetops with the boys at Jungle Surfing – what a blast!!! For a person who is afraid of heights, they had me by the end of the afternoon hanging upside down, hands free, in my harness ,hurtling 20+m above the ground in the canopy, between two huge rainforest trees screaming my lungs out!!!! And I have the photographic evidence to prove it!! Yummy fruit icecream on the way home!!!
Skyrail and Kuranda rail took a day, with lunch and browsing at Kuranda (looking a little sad with many market stalls closed)- relaxing and scenic.
Another afternoon was spent at Mossman Gorge wandering the tracks through the forest, and having a dip in the beautiful river. At the AJ Hackett site my kids did the Minjin Swing together, then my 15 yr old did her second bungy jump (first in NZ when she was 12)! Met the man, AJ Hackett himself who was visiting the centre.
Also went to the Port Douglas markets on Sunday – Port Douglas has changed a lot in the past 12 years since I’ve been there, and I think I prefer it the way it was!!! Palm Cove was a lot smaller and nicer to stay in if you don’t want the busyness and bustle and shops and noise and nightlife (which we didn’t).!!! Had some amazing meals – revisited Nautilus, which was outstanding!!! And also On the Inlet in PD was great!!! Many nice eateries in PC also!!!
All in all, excellent value holiday even though activities for a family can be on the pricey side!. Booking through FNQ was easy, and allowed me to book my preferences a little more cheaply than other sites I had visited. What I saved on accommodation I could spend on eating out, so I didn’t have to slave in the kitchen!!! FNQ were prompt and efficient and more than happy to help with any queries I had and provide me with quotes for various services. I would again use FNQ Apartments, and recommend this service to others!
It certainly won’t be 12 years before we revisit this beautiful part of the world – we are already planning the “bits we missed out on” to feature in our next stay!!!
I was going to send a email through saying thankyou to Brenda for her help and assitance as we left the accomadation quite late to organise. The appartment was perfect and was what we where after, we were also were very suprised we had out own outside spa which was fantastic.
I believe the Manager of the appartments Allan was very helpful and organised free of charge our adventure to the Great Barrier Reef with Passion of paradise for snorkoling and scuba diving which was awesome fun.
Thankyou for all your help.
We were very happy with Mantra Trilogy – the location was superb and the staff were friendly, courteous and helpful
As for activities – we were on a family holiday and spend most of our time with our family that live in Cairns, so we didn’t do the touristy bit really. Have been to Cairns several times before and hope to come many times more.
Thanks for all of your help – we will keep your details on file for next time.
We had a brilliant time and since I had been to Cairns and port
Douglas before, we utilized our time up efficiently enough to have a good balance between fun/activities and leisure. We went Jungle Surfing at Cape Tribulation, White Water Rafting on the Baron River, did the scenic sky rail and train to kuranda too which were good. We also went out on the reef via Reef Sprinter.
I was kindly greeted by the young girl on the Monday afternoon
when we checked in. She was helpful. Also got an early check in at the last minute which was arranged by Megan which I was very appreciative of. We never come into contact with any other staff whilst in Cairns though.
I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to you and Troy for helping me plan and put together my special birthday long weekend. It was one of the best Birthdays ever!! 40 is not that bad after all. We both loved the hot air balloon ride too. The weather was a bit ordinary but it was still a great experience. I even had a flutter at the casino and walked out a 'winner'.
So again, I say thank you! Our long weekend at Palm Cove was very memorable and that apartment was the BEST place we have ever stayed!! Very impressive.
