Listed below are some of the comments we have received from past customers.
We had a most wonderful holiday in Port Douglas. The accommodation at Port Douglas Resort was great and suited us perfectly. Great location, within walking distance to main street and beach.
Thank you very much for all your efforts we had a great stay and everything worked perfectly. Not one single hitch.
The accommodation at the Sea Temple was excellent and the staff there are very friendly and helpful.
We made contact with the Boutique Apartments People while we were there and again fund helpful friendly and efficient people.
I have passed on your contact details to a number of friends and family for their future use and I am sure they will certainly make contact if they wish to holiday in your area.
We will certainly contact you in future for our holiday requirements.
Thanks for all your assistance.
Holiday was superb,
Did normal things - Daintree, Kuranda. tablelands
Have been Cairns way many times before but first time at Palm Cove Island Views is beautifully presented and equipped - amongst the very best we've ever stayed in
We are in port Douglas at the moment and even though our place is great and peaceful we do miss our swimout apartment in palm cove!
The accomodation was great, the town is beautiful and we enjoyed dining out. We had a great time, check-in was quick and easy as was checkout. Only thing I could suggest is a dining guide in the room- options and recommendations etc etc We will definately be back, Thanks again Sam and Rod
We really enjoyed our time in Cairns and the location of Cascade Gardens meant we could walk where we wanted to go. As far as accommodation is concerned, next time we will remember to ask for a ground floor as I have problems with my legs sometimes
We would have preferred a larger fridge in the unit as could not accommodate both food and a few beers. The food won. We enjoyed the bbq facilities and the pool.
We did something each day so wil itemise them
Reef Magic was just that magic. Excellant support from crew members particularly when I got sea sick.
Crocodile Cruise - very informative and interesting, enjoyed seeing crocodiles in natural state (I did not ponder on their future as coats or handbags). We particularly enjoyed the cruise back down Trinity Inlet .
Horizons Cape Tribulation trip. Superb. A long day but packed full with interest. We went to places we would not have gone to had we hired a car and drove ourselves.
We took the train up and back to Kuranda. I had expected the highlight of my trip to be the Barron Falls as I thought they would be surging, however they were a mere trickle, fortunately the Stony Creek waterfall was bursting with energy. I visited the Butterfly House and wished I had a couple more hours to spend there. The butterflies took my breath away. I had not seen a Ulysses or birdwing before and to see them in such abundance was a real gift.
We took the Sunbus to Palm Cove and enjoyed that too. The afternoon was spent resting and we then visited the Casino where we enjoyed watching others play. Dinner was good and inexpensive.
Off to Paranella Castle. Again I was blessed as I saw the ulysses butterfly in three different locations. We thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of this trip from the lush countryside, the Gillies hill (last time we were in Cairns we went up on our motorcycle but did not find that hill - next time we are on the bike we will certainly go on that road again), Lake Barrine and their scones, Milla Milla falls, the boulders, and the Castle. The vision and expertise of this man and his family was remarkable. I was also struck by the professionalism and the enjoyment staff members here had in the work they do.
The staff of all businesses we travelled with were excellant, informative, humorous and considerate. We also appreciated the presentation and freshness of the meals we had at the RSL Club.
We will come again and thank you for your assistance.
just returned yesterday from Cairns.
The holiday all went as planned and my daughter and I were most impressed at the attention given to tourists by all the businesses in FNQ. It's a pity we had not allowed at least one more week to do a few more of our options, but we enjoyed all that we managed to squeeze in.
We did a trip on the Gulflander and Savannahlander trains with side trips to Cobbold Gorge and Undara Lava Tubes, and I would certainly recommend this as a great experience. The Gulflander would probably more suit "dyed in the wool rail tragics" because the scenery is pretty monotonous on that section. There are a few good optional packages for using the Savannahlander train.
The Reef Palms was most pleasant and was exceptionally good value. Thank you for your very thorough follow through of our booking with them. I will certainly be in touch with you if I do a return visit someday.
just wanted to let you know that we were all very impressed by the accomodation and also the friendly helpful staff at Mantra Trilogy. We asked them to book us on a boat to Green Island and it was all done very professionally and quickly.
We would like to say a very big thank you to you and the staff at the hotel. We would definitly book with you again.
Hi Sara had a woderful time up in your part of the country every thing was great the Mandalay appartments were absolutely beautiful the staff were very helpful we couldn't of asked for more!
I Can't thank you enough with all your help as have not booked thru an agent before I will definitely reccomend you to many !
As having a hairdressing bussines I will definitely pass on the reccomendation of your services.
Thank's once again Kerrie
Thank you for a wonderful stay. The accommodation was perfect and the management couple at Getaways of Grafton were superb. We could not asked for more they were friendly and very helpful in advising us on trips and places to visit.
We did have one bad experience, this was down to the company providing the Falklands Islands Tour. They did not have the glass bottomed boat available and they did not mention it to Getaways on booking for us. As my mother can not swim it was a big disappointment for her. We did recoup some of the Monies paid.
When we do decide to go on holiday to FNQ again we will most definitely use you again.
We had a wonderful time. the Island View is a sensational place to stay. We were very happy with all the services provided and will definitely recommend your company to our friends. Thank you once again for making Lyn's birthday celebration on e to remember.
Thanks for your email. We were happy with the service offered by your company. The apartment however was not fully stocked ie sugar etc upon our arrival. The mid week clean however was excellent and made up for that.
As we were unlucky with the weather ie 4 days of rain, the apartment was important to us. It was difficult to feel safe (with the kids using the outside staircase) as it was exposed to the rain. I suppose this has been a design fault and difficult to rectify.
We went to the movies on the rainy day and enjoyed a self drive trip to the daintree. The service at the hotel (bars and lobby) was excellent at the seatemple.
Thank you for your emails and help with my enquiries. FNQ apartment's service was great.
Dear Troy and Sarah,
Thank you for your great service!
We had a great stay at Getaways on Grafton, the apartment was clean and well equipped. The management were very friendly and nothing was a problem. Lot’s of information given about local attractions from the staff including the “pool guy” who gave us lot’s of local information and colour!
The location of the apartment complex was close enough to Central Cairns to walk @ 10 mins to the Esplanade and the vast array of restaurants and attractions such as the Night Markets.
Thank you to Sarah for following up on the tours that we had put a deposit on, I was very grateful to hear from her when we found out one of the tours had to be changed – again Sarah was able to fix everything up for us and it definitely made for a problem free day on the Skyrail Cableway.
The tour we booked through you to go to Green Island was also terrific – we had a great time on the island and I was very impressed with all of the staff and crew on this Great Adventures tour. The weather had been overcast and raining for most of our trip, the day at Green Island was bright and sunny and made for great snorkelling conditions and I was very surprised at the amount of fish so close to the beach – amazing!
We had hired a car, and we certainly made good use of the unlimited kilometres. We drove up through Atherton Tablelands, Port Douglas, Mossman Gorge and up to the Daintree as far has Cooper’s Creek, which was flooded the day we ventured to the rainforest. On our last day we returned to Mareeba and enjoyed an afternoon at Coffeeworks – a must for anyone who loves “a cup of Java”.
I am planning another trip to FNQ now we have been there, seen what is available and I would love to incorporate a stay on Green Island and an eco stay in the Daintree.
Again thank you for your fantastic service – it certainly made for an enjoyable getaway for our family because you took care of all of the details to ensure that we had a great time!
Our stay at the Mango Tree Apartments in Port Douglas was everything we hoped it would be ... well, except for the weather, over which, of course, you have no control. However, we did get out to the Reef and the only thing we couldn't do was get up to Cape Tribulation due to flooding. Our apartment worked out very well and was close to everything.
Thanks for all your help,
Diane and Arthur
We had a lovely stay at the Sea Temple Palm Cove, the apartment was lovely, well appointed, clean, and lived up to our expectations (guess we can’t hold you accountable for the rain!!!) Your staff in every instance were helpful, polite and welcoming. This was a contrast to accommodation we had booked in Port Douglas (unfortunately not via Boutique Collection), that was not cleaned to the standard we would expect, and lacked basic appointments.
While with you in Sea Temple we spent a day at Green Island and the outer reef, which we had booked via your service. We had a great day, one of the highlights of our visit.
We would not hesitate in recommending you to family or friends visiting FNQ
1 word, Awesome.
a) We had a fantastic time, even though we only saw about 4 hours of sunshine. The weather was terrible but thankfully the location, venue and service made up for that. We will definitely be going back to Palm Cove. While we were unable to complete many of the activities the area has to offer due to the weather, we did spend a fair amount of time relaxing and unwinding which is what were really there for anyway. While we did find some restaurants to be quite pricey we could see that you still get what you pay for, and the meals were delicious and nicely presented. All the staff and locals we bumped into were very friendly and I think just a reflection of the atmosphere up there. It really is a magical place.
B) I have never experiance service like yours, It has been outstanding to say the least. Your communication has been clear and thorough and made us feel as though we had our own Personal Assistant! Congratulations on providing such an excellent service. You have something to be very proud of. We have already recomended your services to all our friends.
Thanks for making our first wedding anniversary so memorable.
My family and I were very impressed with the apartment accomodation at Getaway on grafton - the staff were very helpful and pleasant. The three tours we did were all great but we were very disappointed about not getting to travel on the Kuranda train (but that wasnt something anyone could prevent). We all enjoyed the time we spent in Cairns but if we were to travel up there again it probably wouldnt be in April as it did rain everyday (unfortunately) but then it didnt really prevent us from doing the tours.
The help from FNQ apartments was very good and we were pleased with your efforts, so thankyou.
Yes we are home!!
Port Douglas was a lovely relaxed atmosphere which we both enjoyed. The weather could of been kinder though!! We did a few activities which we both enjoyed. The skyrail was excellent even though we did pick the day the train derailed!!
We also drove to Cape Trib and did a Daintree river cruise. Once again the weather was rather wet. Our biggest disappointment was not able to go to the reef. But locals had told us not to go out when the seas are so rough. But we intend to come back and do that at a later date.
As far as your service it was excellent.
We found Heritage facilties excellent. The pools were excellent and the locality was central and very convienent.
The only minor complaint on the room was we felt it needed a little maintainence. The main light switch in bedroom did not work. The air conditioner vents we had to clean as these were very dirty. The room we also felt needed airing. We found it to be very stale and musty on arrival. The light also over the sink flickers.
The other thing I feel that you should make other people aware of is the height of the bath and shower. We are only in late 40's and we both found this very steep to climb into and out.
Overall thanks for everything and we will definately use you again for further bookings.
We had a wonderful time once again up in Port Douglas. This was a very relaxing holiday so we didn’t do alot of tours. We did the reef last year. The weather was quite unpredictable due to the cyclone but we enjoyed the frequent tropical changes. Lots of rain.
We did a sunset cruise one evening on Sailaway 1V . One and a half hour cruising on a catamaran ( about 30 people) including champagne and canape’s. That was fantastic, really friendly crew. We also hired a car and drove up to the Daintree rainforest, crossed the river on the ferry and drove up to Cape Tribulation. What an amazing part of the world. . We saw two cassawary’s crossing the road, stopped at a PK’s restaurant ( very rustic rainforest setting at Cape Trib) for lunch. Food was really good and inexpensive ($15.00 for a delicious roast lamb and tzatziki tortilla).
We tried a different restaurant every night for dinner. Our favourite was the Beach Shack which is not near Macrossan Street, further up towards Sea Temple end. It is a favourite with the locals. We would thoroughly recommend it as we would Salsa bar and grill at the wharf end of Port Douglas. The two pubs are always good for a more inexpensive meal.
We will certainly be back again when we can arrange time.
Thank you for all your great service. Our car was waiting for us at the airport. I have passed your name onto a few friends who may be coming up there.
Now it’s back to reality unfortunately.
Thanks once again Sara for your help.
Heather and Steve.
Our holiday was fantastic, we just loved our apartment - especially the frontage onto the pool and the beach across the road which was just perfect, given how extremely hot and humid the weather was, we spent a lot of time in the apartment, on the balcony or just by the pool!. We didn't participate in any activities, other than swim, shop and enjoy delicious lunches!!
Although this is the fifth time my husband and I have been to Port Douglas, it is the first time we have used FNQ Apartments and wouldn't hesitate in using their services again. We were extremely satisfied with their hight customer service, their website was great, Megan was fantastic and quick to get back to us on any queries - especially our initial inquiry as we were after a self contained apartment with 2 BRs and 2 bathrooms with one bathroom to have a walk in shower, separate living area and a cot!! Megan was quick to get back to us with several options and the apartment we choose was perfect for what we wanted.
FNQ were also fantastic in organising a hire car for us, which kept on changing as we added more people and babies to the request!
FNQ also organised for my sister to stay in the apartment next door to ours which was fantastic and we couldn't have asked for a more perfect holiday!
