Hi Troy,I won't go on about how bloody great FNQ is, as you live there ( I think) we've been 4 times now, so end of story, we will be back. The arrangements you made for us is what I do want to make comment about: your attitude over the phone was as if we had been mates forever, well done, we were made to feel nothing was a bother, the bookings you made for us for travel and apartment went without a hitch, answered all my many questions promptly, everything was clear, totally trouble free, and very much appreciated. You allowed us to get on with enjoying ourselves knowing that all was taken care of, and we thank you again for that. I put that down to you, rather than who you work for and would have no hesitation in and have recommended you to other friends, we will definately be in touch when next we return. (long sentence) We have a couple of visits to Fiji organised for next year then France in 2007 and by then it will be time to return to lovely Palm Cove. Please keep in touch where ever you are and as I have already said we have given your name to friends should they take up any of our reccomendations. We originally got your name from Alan & Susan of Melbourne. Thanks again for your input which helped to make our break more enjoyable.ps there was one downside we had a Mitzibishi (sp) rather than a preferred ford or holden, but heay who really cares. Regards Darryl & Lynda
Hi MeganWe are back home after a fabulous holiday in Cairns. We were all impressed with how green everything was and how tidy Cairns was. It really is a wonderful place to holiday in. The Regancy Palms are an excellent place to stay - the staff are all very helpful and friendly. Thanks for all your help in arranging our holiday.Debbie
Dera Troy,Had a great holiday, weather not fantastic. The Regal was wonderful, comfortable, well equiped, roomy and very hospitable Managers. I would not hesitate to recommend it to others. Regards Denise
Sorry for late reply. Our holiday was great. We enjoyed every bit of it, Green Island was the best outing we did, also skyrail was good too. Our motel was nice and cozy, staff was friendly, the pool was a bit cold, , so we didn't get to swim that much. On overall, very happy with everything, thank you for your services I will surely recommend you to all our friends.Hope this will do, thank you very much again.Bye
Hi Troy. Thanks for your email. Our Accommodation at the Central Plaza Apartments, was excellent. The only criticism I have is,Guest nomally have a folder you can read up on , on how to use various appliances. Or suggested restaurants we should try on our visit. On the third day I asked at reception if there was such a folder. There was , I was told they have just come in. Troy I may be a bit hard, but I thought someone at reception could have showed us to our Apartment & explained the workings of the various appliances. Haba Snorkelling. Great Day., Great Crew. Excellent Day . I was going to book Quicksilver, I am glad you changed my mind. Restaurants Visited in Port Douglas & surrounding Areas. Mango Jam , Zinc,Star of Siam,Paddy's, Ironbark Saloon, Cactus Bar & Grill & Ellis Beach Bar N Grill. All were very good. Cafe By The Sea. We had lunch on the way back from the Daintree. Excellent. Favourite Restaurant. Gone Bananas. We went there on our last night, I only wished we went earlier, We would of gone back again.Great Service,Great Food & Great Decor. Places visited. The Daintree,Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge, Ellis Beach & Palm Cove. We did all of the above by car at our own leisure & had some great days. Troy. Thankyou for the effort you put in to make our holiday, one that we will never forget. Dennis. We will be back.
Hi Troy,I was very happy with my accommodation, because I was on my own it was good to be right in town close to everything. I didn't do much whilst I was there as I was in Palm Cove a year or 2 ago and did the reef and a daintree tour on that trip so this time I did not participate in any organised tours. Instead I truly relaxed and enjoyed my time walking and cycling around Port Douglas. Thanks for your interest in my enjoyment of my holiday and the ease of booking my accommodation.Kind Regards,Di

Dear MeganHave just read your email, sorry I didn't reply. With all the happenings of work and other things that need to be attended to before you go on holiday, I forgot to check my emails. I had intended to email you on our return, to thank you for everything, we were thrilled with our ground floor, next to pool apartment, central location, the courtesy of everybody from tour guides to people working in hospitality and shops, local people and tourist from many countries and perfect weather, all helped to make our holiday very enjoyableThankk youBob & Ellen
Hi Tamara, Yes, we had very nice holiday in Cairns. We stayed Koala Court, where we enjoyed OZ BBQ(it was my birthday so I had wee surprise from my mates!)etc... the owners were always very friendly and helpful. We went to the outer reef(two of us had sea sick! but it was memorable experience including feeling 'sick'!!), Green Island, and the place up in the mountain...sorry, I can't spell... where the skyrail and trains go up... it was wonderful !! We are all satisfied with your offer regarding the accommodation; we are always able to book for the small trips in short notice through Koala Court and we enjoyed all, and of course, staying the apartment was very pleasant experience. Only one thing I could say is that if the FNQ Tourist Information was available in Japanese... even partly... Although I sent my mates the homepage address to have a look at available activities in advance(I live in NZ and the rest of my friends live in Japan), they were not able to figure out what's on, so we decided to see what we could do when we got to Cairns. Thank you for offering us the best choice of the accommodation in Cairns!! Emiko
Thanks Megan,Had a great Holiday. Very happy with service from you. Everything went smoothly. Hire car great. Portsea excellent, very friendly. Pool was fantastic for children little and big, and was just what we were after. Very close to beach also so again great for kids. Breakfast each morning very nice. Apartment at Portsea good. Kitchen smaller than expected and worth noting that no oven. Often easier to eat out. But lots of spots to eat out. Pub had excellent food. We had an apartment that was facing out/away from Portsea and 2 stories up. This actually gave us more privacy, as you can look into many apartments on the ground floor facing inwards. We would ask for one facing out again, and would gladly go back to Portsea.Cheers Emma
Hello TroyThanks for your welcoming home email. We did enjoy our holidays, especially Port Douglas. Our hotel Breakfree reef was good and the people at the reception were very helpful. Touring with BTS outfit was excellent. They were helpful and very informative about the area and the places we visited. Overall, we were satisfied with the FNQ service. RegardsGhul
Hi TroyJust a quick note to let you know that we appreciate your assistance whilst we were away.We had a great time and will recommend you to anyone who asksRe: balboa in port douglas. They were a really nice building and the hosts were great, but if they are looking for feedback perhaps let them know that it might be time for an upgrade of the kitchens and bathrooms.Whilst they were clean and perfectly usable, it does take the edge of when the facilities are on the older side.Other than that they were great, as were the Trinity apartments. If anyone is unsure about either place be happy to put in the good word.RegardsHayden and Viv
Hi Troy,Just wanted to let you know Sea Temple was everything you said. We had a fantastic time. Pam and Alex were great. We were pleasantly surprised when they upgraded us to the penthouse for 6 of our 7 nights. It was fabulous. We had our own roof top spa and view across to the ocean. Steve and I would like to thank you for all your help in making our 20th. wedding anniversary so special. We will certainly reccommend our friends to deal through you when they are in your part of the world. Many thanks Troy.RegardsHeather and Steve - Melbourne
Hi TroySorry I have taken so long to reply. We had a great time in Cairns and absolutely loved the place. The accommodation at the City Terraces was really great and would go back there no problems at all. Due to the Cyclone we were unable to take the trip to Cape Tribulation and paid deposit of about $26.00 or so but didn't use the tour at all and am wondering if its possible to get that money reimbursed or what. They rang and cancelled because of the bad weather and they were unable to get into a few places because of trees down etc etc. We managed to use the one on the cruise out to the reef. Unfortunately the visibility out there wasn't the greatest because of slightly rough seas and rather windy conditions but the actual trip and food was really good. Also met a nice couple from England on board and spent a nice day chatting with them. Did take a flight to Lizard Island which we enjoyed apart from eating our lunch in the rain!!!! Apart from the weather the place is great. We hired a car and drove up around the Atherton Tableland and went to various spot there. We liked Lake Barrine and the Curtain Fig Tree/Chathedral - was very nice. We drove to Port Douglas, checked out Palm Cove, strolled on the beach at Ellis, went to the crocodile farm, took in a couple of movies and generally had a good time. Not long enough as there's plenty to do and see up your way. We even looked at land at Redlynch in the estate there - very nice. Anyway ofcourse if there's anything you want to use go right ahead - no problems. Would recommend accommodation as the two rooms were really good and had heaps of room to move along with all the facilities within our apartment. Hope your weather has settled a bit but do notice of foxtell that you still are having your fair share of rain/showers. Send it down here - its that dry - no rain for b. ages. Anyway thanks again for your help before we came your way. It was appreciated. Kind Regards Heather
Hi Tamara,Our holiday was great, not long enough but thats always the way.We stayed at Club Tropical in Port Douglas which was fantastic.By far the best resort for location and the best pool facility. In Cairns the Southern Cross apt were great the pool and spa area outside our apt were perfect, great quality gym equip and the location as far a shopping goes was good. The plans flying over head were a bit noisy but that was the only complaint. We ended upgrading to a deluxe room as the studio did not have enough cupboard space for clothes. We didnt do a lot as far as activities go except plenty of reading swimming and dining out.It was our 3rd visit to Cairns this year, we love it.Thanks again for your help your services and website were a great help to us.Irene & Rod
Hello Troy, Just a note to let you know that the holiday you organised for us was absolutely incredible. As you could probably tell, we had never booked a holiday over the net before, so we kept wondering where & when something would go wrong!! The apartment was exactly what suited us.The 3 day trips were excellent value (except I was very sea sick on the snorklelling trip, but everyone else said it was great!).My pick was Cape Tribulation. Everything you organised was terrific. No problems for us at all. That made all the difference to our holiday. Once again, a big thankyou. I may be intouch again next year as we have told our family how good you were and they are keen to go too. They do not have internet access so I'll be doing it for them. Keep doing a great job. Sadly at home again!Jacki
Hi Troy,Lovely to hear from you on our return to good old blighty - had an absolutely great time.Loved the apartment everything we expected and more. It was beautifully equipped, centrally located and everything we needed. It was nice after spending the previous 2 weeks in hotel rooms to stretch out a bit and get our washing done and yes the couches (all 3 of them) were very comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. Our tumble dryer broke down and within one day it was replaced with a brand new one.Cant grumble at that sort of service hey.Shame about Cyclone Monica leaving a trail of cloud over Far North Queensland, but we did not let that stop us. We are so glad we took your advise to have a car. Europe Car was very helpful and easy to deal with and the 4 x 4 outlander was super (Grey) Roger was rapped. We loved Port Douglas. We went to a pub one night and had a great time Toad Racing. We did not spend a great deal of time in Port Douglas as there were so many places we wanted to visit. We did everything ourselves as a self drive, Kurranda, Mossman Gorge, Daintree Village, Daintree River Cruise. Loved them all. We especially loved how the countryside landscape changed from sugar cane fields and the lovely colourful houses in the hills, to dense rain forest in the blink of an eye. It rained a lot whilst we were in the rain forest and we loved it, to see all the glistening leaves on the trees. We went drove to the Sky Rail ourselves, went up in the cable car to Kurranda village, stayed up there for a few hours and caught the train back which was stunning. There was a transfer bus at the railway station when we got back to take us back to the cable car car park. It was a spectacular trip. Very visual and very interesting what a feat of engineering for both.We drove ourselves to Mossman Gorge and went on a 3km walk into the dense rain forest. I think that was Rogers favourite bit. We then drove to Daintree Village which was delightful. We saw some homesteads and some really funny cows. We took loads of pictures. We then went on a river cruises along Daintree river and had a one and half hour cruise looking out for crocodiles. We saw an old crock called Gummy who is the king of the river. We attempted to go up to Cape Tribulation one day and uncounted a few flooded creeks, we turned around to go back but then saw the locals driving through them so we braved it. It was scary but good fun. I suppose we would not have thought it such fun if we had been swept away but we didnt and managed to get up to the Cape. We were surprised how little was up there, but it was stunning anyway. It was throwing it down with rain but it was good to see where the rain forest comes down to meet the sea.We braved it back through the creeks, what an adventure !The Wavelength snorkelling trip was awesome. We were really lucky because only 2 weeks before whilst Monica was hovering a lot of the trips were cancelled and they told us that we had had the best sea conditions on the reef for a while. So phew, your valuable advise about booking that at the start of the holiday in case the weather got worse was well worth taking as the sea got a bit rough again after we had been out so it would not have been so good if we had left it until the end of the week. The crew and the boat was small and friendly and the lunch was gourmet. We will never forget that day.Would highly recommend the wild life park in Port Douglas. We spend a good few hours in there. It was nice to see all the animals and birds not in cages like the one we went to in Sydney. You are lucky to live in such a beautiful part of the word.I found my contact with yourself an invaluable tool whilst planning my trip. It was good to be able to ask you advise about all the other aspects of my visit, not only booking the apartment and the trips. Thanks again, and if we are ever in that part of the world again, we will not hesitate to contact you. We will certainly recommend you to any of our friends if they are planning a trip to Far North Queensland.I have no problem with you using any of my comments for anything you wish and I am sorry for getting you up one morning when I rang you didnt realise you didnt change your clocks up there !!Regards Jan & Rog
Hi MeganWe arrived home on Sunday 4th June following a few days in Hong Kong. Our memories of our Australian trip are all positive. Loved the country, the people and the food. So much variety up the coast from Sydney to Cairns! Our arrival in Cairns was great. The guy was there to meet us with a car. He was chatty, friendly and informative. We had a great welcome at the Lakes and the staff proved to be friendly and efficient throughout. The apartment was excellent and we were sorry we had not arranged to stay even longer. The food at the Bistro on the Lakes was excellent and good value for money and we ate there regularly. We were really happy with the rate you arranged for us and saw it as great value You also arranged a double trip for us on the Barrier reef and Kuranda/ Sky Rail etc. We loved the Barrier Reef. Down Under tours were very good and I would use them again if we returned. Also all was well organised for the Kuranda trip too. We also enjoyed a visit to the Butterfly Santuary while we were there. The price you got for us for these two trips was brilliant - we certainly would have paid more if we had booked ourselves direct. Everything you said would happen, did, (free airport transfers etc, one free overnight stay) so I would recommend you to anyone travelling to Cairns. You were prompt and efficient and saved us some money. What else can we say?thanks again for all your helpbest regardsJan
Hi Troy, Sorry I didnt respond earlier as during school holidays I work from home (no pc). Our holiday was realy great. The accommodation was good value for money. The unit was very spacious compared to similar priced units and all facilities were first class. The complex has yet to complete the landscaping and construction etc. however when all is completed it will be terrific. The location is very good.On the whole we were quite impressed. Being that I did my usual trick and left it till the last minute to book the accommodation. I was very pleased with your help. As we live in Townsville and normally do not require the service of an agency for local travel, I probably will not be a regular customer, however I would recommended your service to friends.Cheers Janelle
Hi Thanks for all your efforts. Just got back today as we travelled for 4 weeks down to Brisbane.Loved the Reef Palms, so quiet, great location, rooms cleaned every day, nice pool, friendly owners. Only thing we didnt really like was the power key to the room, every time we left and took the key out, the power turned off, meant the room got quite hot with no fan on, but otherwise excellent. The two trips, one on Kuranda train/skyrail and Osprey reef were excellent and highlights of our holiday. No checking in problems with any. Will recommend your site to others. Thanks again.
