We’re not so totally besotted with Far North Queensland that we fail to remember you have a choice.
Yes, there are many other beautiful parts of Australia and nor should one forget that there are some lovely other parts of the world too. Yet even so, we don’t think you can do better than FNQ. Why?
Well, that’s a good question! We’re not often asked it by our many returning clients each year because they’re already hooked on our home. We do though get asked questions along the lines of “Why FNQ?” by some potential new visitors.
To try and sum it all up in a single word – ‘harmony’.
Now don’t worry, we’re not going to get lyrical but instead just want to point out that our home is fortunate in that it has it all. We have some of the best beaches you’ll find anywhere in the world and a magnificent ocean, including that globally-famous Great Barrier Reef. Then if you come inland, you’ll find some of the best countryside anywhere. Tropical forests, volcanos, waterfalls, wildlife and an ancient indigenous culture – they’re all here aplenty.
Then there’s the food. Nothing other than the very best fresh local produce is available in many of our restaurants. Many would say our fish dining is the best in Australia and arguably the world.
A word or two must be said for the weather of course – but there’s not much to say on that score because it’s fantastic for much of the year. Oh yes, let’s not overlook some of the mind-blowingly luxurious holiday accommodation in Cairns, Port Douglas, Trinity Beach and elsewhere.
Now what we mean by ‘harmony’ is that none of these things overpowers the other. FNQ isn’t a series of nice beaches with a bit of ‘OK’ scenery tacked on inland. It isn’t a rainforest with some ‘iffy’ local hotels or some great countryside with so-so beaches.
Everything here is A1 and complements everything else.
Why not come and see for yourself?
