Looking for a little tropical indulgence without selling an arm and a leg for it? The newly refurbished Treetops Resort and Spa at Port Douglas may just fit your perfect holiday bill.
Beautiful to walk into, the immediate ambience of the place says exotic accommodation and tropical beauty beyond belief. A welcoming Cockatoo (yes, a live one that talks), the friendly staff, the trees growing through the open plan timber architecture, the smell of frangipanis, a swim up Cocktail bar and the promise of idyllic nights away are well within the budget of most travelers. Treetops Resort and Spa suggests expensive but is surprisingly affordable for families and single people. Certainly, a number of families and singles we interviewed at treetops said they were having a fantastic time and chose to stay there because of the excellent tarrif compared with all the services offered at the resort.
A short stroll to one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Treetops Resort and Spa is well situated to provide the discerning traveler with everything they need for an easy and relaxing holiday: on site spa, restaurant, pool, cocktail lounge, room service, courtesy bus, drink and snack machines, mini bar and the darkest sleeping experience I have ever encountered in a beach side facility.
We slept well when we stayed at Treetops Resort and Spa. The room was quiet, dark and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast (included in the tariff) was beautiful and ample: toast, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, hash browns, muffins, Danishes, etc. An upgrade to a cooked breakfast was only another $10.00. None of us needed the upgrade though and we all agreed that the open dining room beside the pool was a beautiful way to start the day.
Treetops Resort and Spa at Port Douglas sure is an affordable way to have a holiday in beautiful Far North Queensland. Locals stay there so it must be good.
